The Ultimate Base Camp
The Basecamp wasn't designed to be the lightest tent or the cheapest tent. It was designed to be the tent we wanted to use on our own expeditions.
Every detail has been thought out to meet the real needs of hunters, anglers, campers, and adventurers who demand reliable gear when they venture away from home.
NordTent Basecamp: Designed by adventurers, field-tested, and built to last.

Why is the Basecamp different?
After more than 5 years of continuous design, testing, and improvement, we have developed a tent that truly meets the needs of Quebec hunters, fishermen, campers, and adventurers.
But above all, the Basecamp was designed by outdoor enthusiasts who use their own products during their expeditions, hunting trips, fishing trips, and family adventures. Every improvement made over the years is the result of real experiences lived in the field, in the cold, rain, snow, and wind.
At NordTent, we believe there is no better test than real-world use. We use our own products for our personal adventures and continually improve our equipment based on what we observe in the field.
The Basecamp was therefore not designed just to look good on paper. It was developed to be reliable, durable, and high-performing when conditions truly become demanding.
A design built for Nordic conditions
Every detail of the Basecamp was developed from years of real-world field use. Our goal was simple: design a durable, comfortable, and reliable tent capable of withstanding the realities of the Canadian climate.
Steeply pitched roof
The Basecamp has a steeper roof pitch than most inflatable tents on the market. This design promotes the shedding of snow, rain, and accumulated water while reducing loads on the structure.
No skylights on the main tent
Unlike many glamping-style tents, the Basecamp does not have any skylights integrated into the main roof.
This choice is deliberate. Skylights are often a weak point in terms of waterproofing and durability when exposed to UV rays, freezing temperatures, and temperature fluctuations.
By eliminating them, we prioritized:
- Better long-term waterproofing
- A more durable roof
- No risk of cracking due to UV or cold
- Increased reliability for four-season use
For those who desire more natural light, the N-Link Dinette is equipped with skylights designed specifically for this purpose.
Everyday comfort and functionality
Each window is equipped with an interior blackout curtain, allowing you to control brightness and privacy without having to leave the tent.
The mosquito nets and transparent panels can be fully opened to facilitate the passage of equipment to the outside. The outer flaps can also be extended to create sheltered spaces against bad weather, ideal for storing equipment or improving ventilation.
Integrated storage
The Basecamp is equipped with eight integrated storage pockets, positioned at cot height to keep your essentials within reach.
Phone, headlamp, glasses, portable battery, or hunting and fishing accessories remain accessible without leaving your sleeping area.
Robust inflatable structure
The Basecamp uses a pneumatic structure composed of 6-inch diameter PVC tubes, offering an excellent balance between rigidity, strength, and ease of installation.
Operating at only 6 to 8 PSI, the structure absorbs impacts and distributes loads across the entire tent rather than concentrating them on a few specific points.
Unlike traditional pole structures, there is no risk of pole breakage. In case of damage, inflatable components can be easily repaired or replaced.
Full Sleeve system with zipper
The inflatable tubes are integrated into full sleeves with zippers along their entire length.
This design holds the fabric firmly in place across the entire structure, improves the overall tension of the tent, and reduces fabric movement in strong winds.
The result: a more stable, robust tent designed to withstand harsh conditions.
Reinforced stability for harsh conditions
The Basecamp was designed to remain stable and safe when conditions become more demanding.
Tent guying system
The tent is equipped with 3 double guy lines per side, offering multiple anchor points to optimize stability and load distribution caused by wind.
High-resistance rainfly
The Rainfly is equipped with 5 guy lines per side, allowing for optimal tension of the outer tent and excellent weather resistance.
All Rainfly anchor points are reinforced to withstand repeated stresses caused by wind, rain, and snow.
This design ensures:
- Better overall stability
- Optimal Rainfly tension
- Better water and snow shedding
- Increased durability of anchor points
- Superior performance in bad weather
An intelligently designed heating system
Oversized Stove Jack
The Basecamp's Stove Jack is compatible with chimneys up to 6 inches in diameter, offering superior compatibility with most wood stoves on the market.
Thermal protection and replaceable components
The heat shield and Stove Jack are fully replaceable.
Unlike many tents where these components are sewn directly to the fabric, our design allows only the affected parts to be replaced in case of wear or damage, without having to repair or replace the tent itself.
Secure chimney flap
When the stove is not in use, the flap protects the opening from the elements.
When using a wood stove, the panel rolls up and fastens securely away from the chimney to eliminate any risk of contact with a hot surface.
Rainfly with oversized opening
The outer tent has an oversized chimney opening, allowing optimal clearance around the pipe while maintaining excellent weather protection.
Integrated technical ports
Two technical ports located at opposite corners of the tent allow for the safe passage of:
- Diesel heaters
- Electrical cables and extension cords
- Portable air conditioner hoses
- Other equipment requiring external access
This configuration offers great flexibility in arrangement while maintaining the tent's waterproofing when the ports are not in use.
Uncompromising modularity
100% modular front and rear panels
The front and rear panels are fully interchangeable to adapt your setup to each adventure.
Exclusive N-Link technology
The N-Link system allows for quick connection of current and future NordTent accessories to the front or back of the tent.
Compatible with:
- N-Link Dinette
- N-Link Awning
- Future NordTent accessories
Your Basecamp evolves with your needs, without having to replace your equipment.
