User Guide and Safety Instructions

⚠️ Setup
Ensure the tent is set up on a flat, stable, and clear surface, free from any objects that could damage the floor or structure. All anchor points must be properly secured before use.

⚠️ Inflation
Never exceed the recommended pressure of 6 to 8 PSI for the inflatable structure. Excessive pressure can damage the inflatable tubes and void the warranty.

⚠️ Wind and Weather Conditions
The tent must always be securely anchored to the ground using the provided stakes and guy lines. In case of strong winds or severe weather conditions, it is recommended to dismantle the tent or take necessary measures to ensure the safety of occupants and equipment.

⚠️ 4-Season Use
While the Basecamp is designed for four-season use, it is the user's responsibility to regularly remove any accumulation of snow, ice, or water from the tent roof. Excessive accumulation can damage the structure, is not covered by the warranty, and can compromise the tent's integrity and the safety of its occupants. In some situations, significant overload can lead to the collapse or failure of the structure and cause injuries to occupants.

To clear accumulated snow or ice from the fabric, use only a soft-bristled brush or a non-abrasive tool to avoid damaging the tent fabric or components.

⚠️ Use of the Rainfly
The rainfly must be permanently installed to ensure optimal protection against UV rays and maximize the tent's waterproofness. When using a wood stove in rainy or wet conditions, the installation of the rainfly is mandatory to prevent water infiltration through the stove jack. Damages caused by use without a rainfly are not covered by the warranty.

⚠️ Heating Devices
The use of a wood stove or any other heating device must be carried out in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions. Adequate ventilation must be maintained at all times. Damages caused by the use of a heating device are not covered by the warranty.

⚠️ Ventilation and Carbon Monoxide
When using a wood stove or any other heating device, the use of a carbon monoxide detector is highly recommended. Adequate fresh air intake must be maintained at all times to ensure sufficient ventilation and reduce the risk of carbon monoxide accumulation.

⚠️ Fire and Combustible Materials
Never use an open flame near the walls, roof, or any other part of the tent. Keep heating devices, lanterns, and other heat sources at a safe distance from combustible materials.

⚠️ Maintenance and Storage
Before storage, ensure the tent is clean and completely dry. Storing a damp tent can lead to mold growth, odors, or premature deterioration of materials.

⚠️ Inspection Before Use
Before each use, inspect the tent, anchor points, zippers, guy lines, and inflatable tubes to ensure they are in good and safe condition.

⚠️ User Responsibility
The installation, maintenance, and use of the Basecamp tent are the sole responsibility of the user. NordTent cannot be held responsible for property damage, injuries, or losses resulting from improper use, poor maintenance, or failure to comply with these safety guidelines.

Why is the Basecamp different?

The Basecamp is the result of over 5 years of design, testing, and field improvements. Designed by hunting, fishing, and camping enthusiasts, it was developed to meet the true needs of Quebec adventurers.

Every detail has been tested in real-world conditions: rain, snow, wind, and cold. We use our own tents during our expeditions and continuously improve our products based on this experience.

The result: a robust, reliable, and high-performance tent, designed to accompany you everywhere, no matter the season.

A breathable canvas designed for comfort

TC Cotton Levitex 60/40

The Basecamp is made from TC Cotton Levitex 60/40 canvas, composed of 60% polyester and 40% cotton, offering an excellent balance between durability, weather resistance, and comfort.

Unlike fully synthetic tents, this breathable canvas allows interior moisture to naturally escape, significantly reducing condensation and improving comfort, in summer and winter.

Advantages:

  • Breathable and air-permeable fabric
  • Significant reduction in condensation
  • More pleasant indoor temperature
  • Excellent UV and weather resistance
  • Faster drying than traditional cotton canvas
  • Superior durability for intensive use

Ultra-tough 500 GSM PVC floor

The floor is made of heavy-duty 500 GSM PVC, designed to withstand the demanding conditions of camping, hunting, and fishing.

Its advantages:

  • Excellent abrasion and puncture resistance
  • Total impermeability
  • Easy to clean
  • Durable even on difficult terrain
  • Designed for long-term intensive use

A design built to last

Steeply sloped roof

The Basecamp's roof is more sloped than most inflatable tents. This design promotes the evacuation of snow, rain, and accumulated water while reducing the loads applied to the structure.

No skylight on the main tent

To offer maximum durability, we have eliminated skylights from the main roof, which are often considered a weak point against UV, frost, and temperature variations.

Result:

  • Better long-term waterproofing
  • More durable roof
  • No risk of cracking due to UV or cold
  • Increased reliability in all seasons

For those seeking more natural light, the Dinette N-Link is equipped with dedicated skylights.

Everyday comfort

Each window is equipped with a blackout curtain allowing easy control of light and privacy.

The windows and mosquito nets open completely to improve ventilation and facilitate the passage of equipment. The outer flaps can also be used as additional protection against the elements.

Integrated storage

Eight integrated storage pockets keep your essentials within reach:

  • Phone
  • Headlamp
  • Portable battery
  • Glasses
  • Hunting and fishing accessories

Robust inflatable structure

The Basecamp uses a pneumatic structure composed of 6-inch diameter PVC tubes offering an excellent balance between rigidity, resistance, and quick setup.

Operating at only 6 to 8 PSI, the structure absorbs impacts and distributes loads uniformly.

Integrated overpressure valve

Overpressure valves automatically protect the structure against over-inflation caused by temperature variations or prolonged sun exposure.

Repairable and replaceable

Unlike traditional poles that can break, inflatable components can be easily repaired or replaced as needed.

Full Sleeve System

The inflatable tubes are installed in full sleeves with zippers along their entire length.

This design improves canvas tension, reduces wind-induced movement, and increases the overall stability of the tent.

Superior stability

Reinforced guy lines

  • 3 double guy lines per side on the tent
  • 5 guy lines per side on the Rainfly

All anchor points are reinforced to offer excellent resistance to wind, rain, and snow.

Compatible with wood stoves

Oversized Stove Jack

Compatible with chimneys up to 6 inches in diameter.

Replaceable components

The Stove Jack and heat shield can be replaced individually without having to repair or replace the entire tent.

Integrated technical ports

Two technical ports allow for the safe passage of:

  • Diesel heaters
  • Electrical cables
  • Portable air conditioners
  • Other equipment requiring external access

N-Link Modular System

Interchangeable front and rear panels

Adapt your setup to your needs thanks to fully modular panels.

Compatible with:

  • Dinette N-Link
  • Awning N-Link
  • Future NordTent accessories

Your Basecamp evolves with your adventures.
